Calling South Asians in Casey.

Competition Theme: "Safety through lenses" Our competition theme invites participants to capture images that depict the places where they feel safe. 

Eligibility: Open to all South Asian individuals residing in the City of Casey. Participants are welcomed from diverse backgrounds, including India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Bangladesh. 

Age: 18 years and above.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Each participant can submit one original photograph captured by them. 

  • Images should be high-resolution and in JPEG or PNG  format.

  • Please add a short caption that describes the context or story behind it.​

Prizes and Recognition:

  • Winner will receive a $150 voucher.

  • Certificate of appreciation

  • Shortlisted photographs will be featured in Casey’s newsletter and our annual report. 

How to enter: 

Share your photograph via the Google Form or by scanning the QR code.

Terms of entry:

  • Each entrant can submit one photograph

  • All photos should be the original work of the participant.

  • Photos must be in line with the competition theme

  • Ensure that photos and narratives do not promote discrimination, hate speech, or harm to any group of people

  • Follow ethical and responsible photography practices to avoid harm to the animals or plants, if photographing the environment. 

  • Photographs in which people's faces are discernible will not be considered. 

Judging Criteria:

  • Relevance to the theme.

  • Creativity and originality

  • Emotional impact and storytelling

Family violence extends beyond physical harm; it encompasses various forms of abuse that affect individuals on a deeper level. 

Reducing stigma is crucial for promoting understanding and providing support to those with mental health challenges.

Workplace harassment is unwelcome conduct that is based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information .

Bullying is a repeated and unwanted aggressive behavior, often involving a power imbalance, where an individual or group intentionally harms or harasses another person physically, verbally, or socially.
